somehow, i feel some of the NRL games are fixed. personal opinions.
sometimes the team that are favourites will lose by quite a big margin. unexpected results chalks up every 2 weeks.
some may argue that that is the nature of the game. depending on momentum and who starts the game stronger etc. But again, with the pay they are getting and the huge betting market for it, i suspect that sometimes only 10 players (out of 13) are playing for the team.
up to you to decide, but that's my personal opinion once again.
btw, side track, I'll try to do a bit of analysis for each and every game for the world cup. hopefully i can keep it up. meanwhile, take care and 14 days to go!

is a sunday again and the weather is slightly better. cooling and a walk in the city with Denise was comfortable and relax but shopping is always a chore. Hehe.
got another World Cup Guide, this time from SBS, a TV station where they will be showing all 64 matches live. Oops. My World Cup craze.
Looking to some tipping competition but the office one is pretty complicated, I think I will give it a miss unless the rules changes. Still tipping Argentina to win this year's competition.
Mum went back to Singapore after 3 weeks in Sydney on Sunday. Glad she like the flowers and cake that we got her. Her home-cooked food is really fantastic. After so many years, it stills taste the same and she even cooked a big portion of beehoon for us before she flew back. Really appreciate how she cares for us.
Another big week at work. Have to always alert and ready for battle and new work. Keep it up and looking forward to pay day.

Traffic was really bad yesterday. Together with Thursday late night shopping, some Sydney light festival, Christian Dior sale and the Ipad launch. I was stuck in grid-locked traffic in the city at 8pm in the evening. It did not help with the crap weather, causing less people to take public transport.

Once again, I urge the road users the following

1) When merging, pls give way and allow one vehicle at a time from the left and right lane. Smooth operation will result in lesser delays. Which means you can get to your destination faster, if you don’t understand that.

2) Cyclists, please keep to your lane when you have no insurance and the roads upgrades are funded from our taxes and rego. The last thing we want is to let you get into an accident. Also, please keep away from our blind spots

3) Public transport users. Continue what you are doing. You are doing a great job

4) Pedestrians, please adhere to road rules. Don’t cross when the man is red. Accidents = delays for vehicles and hurt for your family.

5) Old drivers (if you got the chance to look at this) keep away from the bloody right lane. KEEP AWAY!

Hopefully, traffic gets better. However, at the rate it is going, the delays are going to be massive in the city and parking are inadequate. Peak hours are going to be stretch from 4-6pm to 4-8pm.

Good for me. I would suppose.

D is for disappointed and disgraceful.
with all the hype for the new south wales team to do well for the Origin 1 2010. They flunked it.
Gidley should not be there. Kimmorley as well. Not sure what is going on within the team but the selection panel ought to change. drastically.
they will blame it on the weather. but when queensland were on the backfoot for the first 20 mins, nsw didnt take advantage. when the blues were on the backfoot, qld ran them over everywhere. No urgency, half back didnt do anything useful. Hayne and Tahu were more interested in muscling out the opponents. Brains not Brawns.
Anyway, looks like they are going to lose another series. Until they remove the panel and that Daley guy. The future does not look bright.

Almost got into a major accident today. All thanks to Hondaz, who had good brakes despite the terrible road conditions due to the weather, the car managed to stop instantly. If not, I think my legs would have gone.

Late for these few days since coming back from holidays. Blame it on jet-lag, but the weather is just too cold to get myself out of the doona. Anyway, has been really busy at work nowadays because we have a few men down. But all’s good and I like the challenges. To pick up where others have left off and to make decisions. More improvements definitely to response correctly and get the information across the first time.

Random: I like to fill things up. But then, I like to empty stuff as well. I realise I like to fill up petrol, the photocopier paper. But at the same time, I like to empty bottles of water or food that’s got a a lil bit left in their containers and also my recycle bin, both in the computer and the real hard bin.

State of Origin tonight in this terrible weather. Don’t know who to bank on. Hope for a good match.

World Cup 2010

im getting pretty excited whenever this event comes along. Who doesnt?
Australia is fortunate enough to have the matches covered all free to view, Singapore, not so lucky, special package for residential and commercial viewing just for this event and it is not cheap, which is unjust.
Im back Argentina to win it this year. Only thing holding me back is that Maradona is coaching them. It has a strong squad, as always, but you never know. England might be the surprise package but they always fail in the last stage. Spain and Brazil are the countries to watch out so are North Korea and the African Nations. Australia? nahz. I dont think they will be doing well this time round. we shall see.
20 days to go. Sleepless nightz. HDTV prepared. WooHoo!

(quote) "the country has already has many plans in the future", "it is the people here who doesnt want to work the low level jobs, hence the foreigners".
many questions surfaced during my trip here. Not that these questions weren't asked before but it seems that they are getting more and more significant as time goes by.
first of all, dont get me wrong. im part of this country, and i want the country to do well. im proud that we are recognised throughout the world. but, are we progressing too quick that our own people cannot keep up?
our country has plans. but does the plan include us? or the plans would be just for us to accept whatever they give us and live with it. Yes, we dont want low level jobs. WHY? culture played a part, we from young have always look down on cleaners, sweepers, construction workers etc. Who, from the younger generation wants to be looked down and do the jobs? Pride.
Question is. Are there enough mid level jobs to satisfy the growing nation?
took the train around today, what i see today, on and off the train, is that, to do ok in this country, you need to be tip top, education is very important and not everyone can get the right education nor afford them, given the situation in university studies at the moment. the average person is going to do it tough. Makes me realise that I'm fortunate enough to have a good family base and the opportunities to explore further. Not everyone is able to do that. and there will be lesser in the future given the savings style nowadays.
i seriously hope that things won't turn out as bad as i thought in the future. we are looking very good on the outside. breathtaking if you check on the f1 later this year. But we need to take care of the people living in the country. our kids. our future. at the moment, i don't think there's a lot of emphasis on it. I hope are we are going the right way, to shorten the distance between the rich and the poor.

step by step. law by law.
everything is so systematic. from words to video to audio. this place will make you understand every single thing.
shopping centres are everywhere and everywhere is so accessible. 4 similar-company name pharmacies and cafes can be found within close vicnity of each other, and there are other similar businesses. shopping is neither cheap nor enjoyable. traffic is getting bad.
looking at the new casino, felt like I was part of avatar or fifth element. it just seems to cyber. changes everywhere, even the cable tv channels. and changes were made without consultations. changes are carried out with step by step instructions.
It is scary. pretty scary. when will this end for this small country who has done great great things? will it ever end? will people be satisfied? or will be bubble burst?

taking a break.
in a country where changes are everywhere.
in a country where traditions are slowly diminishing.
in a country where ranks are the number ones.
in a country with spectacular skyscrapers and magnificent night views.
in a country where losing is not an option.
in a country where air conditioner is a must. yes. a must.
im taking a break, taking a short break to see the changes in this country.
changes are quick, very quick. Can the folks of this country keep up with it?
No one can and no one cares. Chasing the number 1 spot is more than anything else.
I do feel a little bit sad. Direction of the country is slightly off. Do they realise it?

May~!

may started well. after a wonderful april, expectations for May weren't that high for me. *what goes up has to come down*. so far, can't complain.
work has been pretty good. went to a chicken farm and learnt about their process. that's one thing i like about my job. able to explore other industries.
denise took off her braces. hooray!. after 3 long years, i can still remember when she took off 6 teeth with her whole face swollen. The final product, I must say, I'm satisfied with the work, Denise does a lil bit of time extra to get use to her new look!
bought HD set top box. ready for the world cup. im typing this now while formatting the hard disc that comes with the set top box. as a result, I missed the haka and the kick off for the rugby league match between the aussies and the kiwis. *painful. but is only balls.
dad and mum, travelling to Sydney in 2 days. looking foward to that! Dad deserves the break and I hope to make it good. it'll be lotsa of eating and enjoying the weather and the fantastic places that Sydney has to offer.
This week has been pretty fast. Hope the month goes fast as well as my new home is scheduled for completion at the end of month! excited!! finally, i hope this time our choice is the best. so far so good with the process.
hasn't been updating much. but will try to do so as often as I can.
thanks for the congrats and well wishes on our engagement. appreciate all the *zhu fu*
take care!
